    First introduced during WWII, the N-1 Deck Jacket was designed to protect U.S. Navy personnel from the harsh conditions at sea. Made of jungle cloth (aka Bedford Cord), the outer shell features wind resistant and water repellent properties. Meanwhile the inside lining features an alpaca mohair/wool pile blend for extra warmth. This Buzz Rickson's model replicates the late WWII model N-1s with its khaki color, the style of loops on the lining underarm and hem cord, eyelet sizing and placement, and stenciled U.S.N. on the left chest.
